SUMMARY:<\/p>

The purpose of the position is to evaluate and analyze the financial situation of current and prospective customers. Provide counseling and recommendations on appropriate mortgage product(s) that best suits the current needs of the customers.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>

\u00b7 Independently generates and pursues leads for the Mortgage Company\u2019s products and services.<\/p>

\u00b7 Assume responsibility for the effective and professional completion of loan origination functions by interviewing mortgage loan applicants, completing mortgage loan applications, and processing preliminary documentation on loan requests.<\/p>

\u00b7 Develops external referral sources with area realtors, brokers, builders, and other potential referral sources.<\/p>

\u00b7 Discuss loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from Members.<\/p>

\u00b7 Notify Member if loan is referred back to Officer because of problem ratios or credit ratings.<\/p>

\u00b7 Counsel Members whose loan requests were denied, explaining reasons and alternatives.<\/p>

\u00b7 Council Members regarding money management and financial matters.<\/p>

\u00b7 Complete lending operations in accordance with established Credit Union policies and legal requirements.<\/p>

\u00b7 Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with members, Realtors and building professionals.<\/p>

\u00b7 Make sales calls to potential and existing Members to retain current business and to develop new loans.<\/p>

\u00b7 Represent the Mortgage Company and Credit Union in the community and spend at least 80% of time outside the office generating new leads, establishing new relationships, and networking.<\/p>

\u00b7 Cross-sell products and services by providing general information and directing prospective Members to a Member Account Representative.<\/p>

\u00b7 Attend and speak at Home Buyer Seminars, participate in Realtors Focus Groups and meetings.<\/p>

\u00b7 Stay informed regarding changes in lending standards, related legal requirements, and trends in local real estate and competitive market.<\/p>

\u00b7 Adopt and meet all assigned performance management goals and objectives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE:<\/p>

HS Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.<\/p>

Strong sales background<\/p>

Strong computer skills<\/p>

5 years\u2019 experience in mortgage lending environment is preferred, minimum 2 years or more<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
