Position Summary
SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include originating and qualifying loan applicants by interviewing and counseling existing and prospective mortgage clients. Proactively develops business relationships, making calls to existing and new referral partners plus prospective clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Adhere to bank policies and procedures
· Represent the Bank ethically and professionally at all times
· Give back to the community through volunteering
· Proactively solicit new relationships and expand current at social and civic events
· Travel locally to meet partners and prospects where they prefer to do business
· Stay informed on market, industry, program and guideline changes
· Collaborate effectively with realtors, builders and other industry trade professionals
· Manage deadlines and reply to requests promptly
· Consult with prospective borrowers and educate them on financing options
· Obtain thorough loan applications with proper supporting documentation
· Initially analyze financials to help determine credit worthiness
· Identify need for additional bank products and services then refer appropriately
· Work cohesively with processing and underwriting to meet closing needs
· Maintain constant contact with clients until closing and beyond as needed
· Foster referral relationships with employees in other bank business lines
· Monitor past dues and assist with collections if required
· Meet established growth and sales goals
· Provide valuable feedback on overall client experience to always improve
