RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage a portfolio of farm, farm real estate, and related agricultural loans.
· Participate in the analysis of loan requests, responsible for the overseeing the administration of the loans that you have made.
· Provide an excellent customer experience, comply with all relevant regulations, and adhere to established credit standards.
· Work effectively with department staff and management.
· Properly close and document all loan transactions in accordance with the approved terms and conditions.
· Maintain a strong, visible, and positive presence through public relations activities in community events and clubs.
· Interviews agricultural loan applicants to develop information concerning their businesses, needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to determine whether a loan is an acceptable risk.
· Follows current loans and lines of credit to ensure conformity with terms and to gain knowledge of developing customer trends as well as monitoring how the credit performs.
· Manages delinquency rate within assigned portfolio and conforms to bank’s assigned parameters.
· Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase existing business.
· As an officer of the bank, it is important that you promote and represent the bank in a positive manner while at work and outside of work.
Education & Experience
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
· Must have at least 3 years in lending, relationship management, or a similar role.
· Strong understanding of lending products, credit analysis, financial risk assessment, and underwriting principles.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet lending targets.
· Proficiency in financial analysis tools, credit scoring models, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Familiarity with lending regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
· Strong ethical values and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
