Position Summary


Oversee daily financial and accounting operations to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, policies, funding sources, and external audits. 


  • Handle daily accounting operations: A/P, A/R, reconciliations, balance sheet management, and analyze financial statements.
  • Work with grant money, read government agreements and ensure compliance.
  • Lead audits and coordinate with external audit firm.
  • Make decisions on outsourcing duties, as needed.
  • Work within QuickBooks and other accounting and compliance software.
  • Assist audit firm in preparation of 990 Tax Returns.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years Accounting or Audit/Accounting experience.
  • CPA preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of proper GAAP Accounting and how to apply it.
  • Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required with the ability to effectively navigate sensitive communication at multiple levels across the organization.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting, finance, or other applicable discipline; the appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
