Position Summary

SUMMARY:

This position supports the Bank’s mission by generating commercial loans that are profitable with a minimum amount of risk and maintain the existing portfolio for maximum income and reduction of potential loss while providing quality customer service that will encourage all customers to use the Bank as their primary financial service provider.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts and supervises the origination process for all commercial loans in order to ensure accuracy of the process. Tasks include, but not limited to ensuring the company will not sacrifice credit quality for volume or profitability. Self-monitored with feedback provided by the Corporate Loan Committee and the EVP, Division President.

 

Services existing portfolio of commercial loans to ensure credits are graded properly and meet compliance with regulatory and bar policies and procedures. Tasks include, but not limited to communicating with commercial loan customers by phone, personal contact, and written correspondences. Self-monitored with feedback provided by the Corporate Loan Committee and the EVP, Division President.

 

Responsible for new business development for the department in order to ensure that growth goals are met. Tasks include, but not limited to calling on existing and potential customers, and making sales calls on non-customer prospects. Self-monitored with feedback provided quarterly by the EVP, Division President.

 

 

Promotes teamwork and provides motivational support to the Commercial Lending staff in order to promote company culture. Tasks include, but not limited to providing leadership to all employees and is responsible for promoting the Bank activities and programs to internal and external customers. Self-monitored with feedback provided by the Corporate Loan Committee and the EVP, Division President.

 

 

Provides direction and support to the Commercial Lending staff in order to increase the effectiveness of the department and enhance individual performance. Tasks include, but not limited to conducting regular informational meetings with staff, establishing performance goals, coaching, reinforcing, and regularly reviewing performance. Self-monitored with feedback provided by the EVP, Division President.

 

Creates opportunity to market and/or offer additional Bank products and services to customers in order to create lifetime customers and generate additional business. Tasks include, but not limited to assessing customer’s financial needs and matching needs to products and services. Self-monitored with feedback provided by EVP, Division President.

Education & Experience

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Administrative, conceptual and supervisory skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Minimum five years as a commercial lending officer with loan experience
