The Market President serves as the Bank’s top executive in the respective local market where we maintain a physical (branch) presence.
A Market Presidents’ primary role is to build profitable relationships with commercial/agricultural businesses and high potential retail customers by providing these market segments with competitive Bank products and services that meet these customers’ ever-changing needs. In addition, Market Presidents will be expected to develop relationships with individual business owners and centers of influence in their respective communities.
Market Presidents acquire, retain and expand new and existing relationships, proactively meeting with current and potential new customers- face to face or over the phone, in the branch and on sales calls at the client/target’s place of business – to uncover specific financial service needs and provide product recommendations. They act as the principal relationship manager for new and existing clients however with the goal of introducing the Bank partners in implementing our Team approach.
Market Presidents’ primary product focus is on commercial loan and deposit generation through the sale of traditional products and commercial cash management services. They contribute to the broader success of the Bank by creating deep, profitable relationships through cross-selling consumer and residential loan products and trust and investment management services, “teaming” with the appropriate Bank partners.
A Market President is expected to take an active, visible role in the respective community in which he/she is located, participating in local business, civic and charitable organizations within and around their immediate communities, and assuming positions of leadership in these organizations over time.
Market Presidents are the highest profile Bank employees at their respective branch locations, and therefore have attendant duties which accompany this position (e.g., representing the Bank at local community events, addressing customer satisfaction issues, dealing with requests for donations and sponsorships, providing input in the hiring of staff and developing a strong working relationship with the Branch Manager).
Market Presidents work with the Bank executive team and marketing personnel in the development of programs that increase awareness of the Bank and its services in the market and promote the Bank’s desired, community-oriented image. Market Presidents are accountable to meet Branch growth and profitability objectives.
Market Presidents are also expected to understand and track overall branch financial performance and assist management in developing branch financial and performance metrics. Market Presidents are expected to ensure that every employee within their Branch represents the Bank’s Vision and Mission while setting the tone for the culture within their location.
