Position Summary

Originate and manage a loan portfolio, build relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, timely follow-up on new loan requests and advocate for Small Businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage the Commercial portfolio with over $120mm and 250 client relationships
  • Focus on small businesses with typically under $5mm in sales and revenue but also lend to businesses with $10-100mm in sales and revenue
  • Review loan applications for deals that may range from less than $500k to as large as $1.5mm
  • No need for after hours work and no business development or sales goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in commercial and SBA loans in a Loan Officer or Portfolio Manager role
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer skills with above-average computer skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required with the ability to effectively navigate sensitive communication with individuals at multiple levels across the organization.
  • Effective relationship-building skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; must function as a team player and have the ability to lead projects.  
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical and must also demonstrate the ability to think creatively to provide added value to the lending process.
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting, finance, or other applicable discipline; the appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
