Position Summary

The Director of Deposit Operations is responsible for the overall management of the bank’s deposit operations teams including account services, item processing, bank card programs and payment operations. The candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of consumer banking regulations for deposit products, payments and item processing. The Director of Deposit Operations will maintain current knowledge of bank policies and procedures to ensure satisfactory audits results.

Reports to the SVP/Director of Operational Standards and manages 3 Managers and 25-30 Indirect staff


  • Provide oversight to account services team, ensuring sound operations and processes
  • Provide oversight to all payment channels in the bank including but not limited to debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, check processing, wires and ACH transactions
  • Responsible for process improvement and efficiency reviews of all areas of deposit operations in order to ensure minimal duplication of effort, operational efficiency, and effective spending
  • Responsible for reviewing technology systems already in place to ensure full adoption of technology owned by the bank
  • Responsible for all deposit account documentation and disclosures ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Partner with the Commercial/Treasury departments in support of commercial banking efforts to ensure sound product delivery and efficient processes between teams
  • Drive the development, implementation, and oversight of operational processes and systems to support all deposit products and operations of the Bank
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and banking regulations to drive success in audits and examinations


  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field required
  • Minimum 10+ years in Deposit Operations experience required with Item Processing, Online Banking and Digital Processing of Debit and Credit Cards
  • Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Administrative, conceptual and supervisory skills required
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills required
  • Policy and Procedure Writing, Item Processing, Online Banking and Risk Management/Audit skills required
  • Occasional overnight, air and/or road travel is required. The ability to work late and/or flexible hours is required.
